Lalu pengalaman rugi ini disampaikan dari mulut ke mulut, aku beli emas tak untung pun. Rugi lagi ada.<\/p>\n<p>Saya selalu menekankan bahawa pelaburan emas dan perak adalah pelaburan jangka sederhana dan panjang. Tiada pelaburan yang menguntungkan dalam jangka masa pendek kecuali skim piramid yang bersifat &#8216;head hunting&#8217;. Skim piramid tak boleh bertahan lama, sama ada &#8216;crashed&#8217; atau diserbu pihak berkuasa. Untuk melabur, pastikan wang yang dilaburkan itu tidak akan diperlukan untuk jangka masa 2-5 tahun. Supaya anda tidak terdesak. Sebelum melabur, penuhkan dulu tabung simpanan untuk perbelanjaan hidup 3-6 bulan. Kemudian baru fikirkan ke mana mahu dilaburkan wang lebihan itu. Sebelum melabur, kita perlu memahami pelaburan tersebut terlebih dahulu. Walaupun prestasi sebelum ini bukan jaminan kepada prestasi akan datang, kita masih boleh menjangkakan prestasi akan datang berdasarkan &#8216;past performance&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Sebagai contoh, sekiranya anda ingin melabur dalam emas prestasi emas selama sebulan (Graf 1) adalah tidak bagus. Sebulan yang lalu harganya mahal, sekarang sudah menjunam. Rugi bukan?<\/p>\n<p>Graf 2 juga menunjukkan trend yang sama. Harga terjun gaung! Masih tidak meyakinkan. Nampaknya sinaran emas hanyalah gebang kedai kopi sahaja. Betulkah? Bandingkan dengan graf 4 disebelahnya. kenapa trend tiba-tiba seperti linear sahaja? Graf 4 adalah petunjuk prestasi emas selama 10 tahun. Sepanjang 10 tahun itu, ada puncak dan ada curam. Namun trend yang tetap adalah harganya sentiasa meningkat. Adalah sukar untuk harga hari ini jatuh sehingga harga 10 tahun lepas.
