Syarikat mempunyai liabiliti melebihi 10 kali asetnya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMenjual emas pada kira-kira 20 hingga 25 peratus lebih tinggi daripada harga pasaran, membayar pulangan kira-kira dua hingga tiga peratus setiap bulan kepada pelanggan dan membeli balik emas daripada pelanggan pada harga belian awal bukan merupakan satu usaha yang mampan,\u201d kata kenyataan dari Bank Negara.<\/p>\n<p>Ia juga menyatakan bahawa aliran tunai bagi syarikat itu untuk mengekalkan operasinya bergantung sepenuhnya kepada jumlah yang dikumpulkan daripada pelanggan baru.<\/p>\n<p>Genneva, telah diserbu oleh Bank Negara, polis, Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Koperasi dan Kepenggunaan dan Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia pada 2 Oktober lalu.<\/p>\n<p>Tiga hari kemudian, pihak berkuasa menjalankan serbuan ke atas premis perhiasan Emas Bhd, Caesar Gold Sdn Bhd dan Worldwide Far East Bhd yang disyaki terlibat dengan pengambilan deposit haram, pengubahan wang haram pengelakan cukai dan dan keterangan palsu.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut kenyataan itu, wang Genneva sebanyak RM99.8 juta telah dibekukan dan 126kg emas disita, di mana pihak bank berkata, ia diperlukan untuk siasatan dan hanya akan diuruskan mengikut perintah mahkamah.
